ANZAC TOURS
After suffering a painful defeat in Gallipoli the ANZAC troops were posted in Egypt.
After a few months rest they were in the action again against the Turks in Palestine.

This campaign was more successful and was highlighted by what is known as the Last Great Cavalry Charge.
The Battle of Beersheba has always been presented as a story of almost reckless heroism.

From Beersheba the ANZAC troops continued north winning battle after battle, taking Jerusalem on the road to Damascus
